Setaro Paccheri is a large, wide tubular pasta made by Pastificio Setaro in Torre Annunziata, near Naples, Italy. A classic pasta shape of Campania, paccheri are known for their oversized tubes and substantial bite. The name is traditionally associated with the Neapolitan word for a "slap," often said to reference the sound the large pasta makes when coated in sauce.
How to Use Setaro Paccheri
Paccheri pairs beautifully with rich tomato sauces, seafood, meat ragù, and chunky vegetable sauces. Its large hollow center is also perfect for stuffing with ricotta, cheese, meat, or vegetables before baking. The generous tube shape captures plenty of sauce both inside and out.
