Setaro Capellini is a very thin, delicate long pasta made by Pastificio Setaro in Torre Annunziata, near Naples, Italy. The name capellini comes from the Italian word capello, meaning "hair," a reference to the pasta's exceptionally fine strands. Setaro's Capellini measures approximately 30 cm long.
How to Use Setaro Capellini
Because of its delicate strands, Capellini is best paired with lighter preparations that will not overwhelm the pasta. Try it with fresh tomato sauce, seafood, garlic and extra virgin olive oil, butter and Parmigiano Reggiano, or other simple sauces. Its fine texture also makes it an excellent choice for delicate broths.
