A large quantity was found among the treasures of Tutankamen's tomb. Benificiary properties were listed in the documents of the doctor Ippocrates for the cure of asthma, coughs, pulmanary infections, intestinal difficulties, and the healing of wounds.
Liquorice is very popular in Italy, especially in Calabria, where it's cultivated. |
